Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi denied circulating rumors that she
is banned from performing in Morocco and stated that Morocco is
not a country that would deny her the honor of performing on its
grounds. She made clear that the only reason she was denied from
singing at a concert in the city Aghadir south of Morocco,
because of the bomb that exploded before than concert.
Haifa points out that her manger was notified of the accident
and she was willing not to sing; however, her love of her
Moroccan fans and not wanting anything to come between her and
them was the reason she had insisted on holding a performance.
Haifa was earlier banned from singing in Syria, because of her
low singing style. Haifa and a number of Lebanese female singers
are banned from Syria because of their singing style, which is
considered too indecent and inappropriate for the average
viewer.
On the other hand Haifa will be starting in the movie "Baher El
Nojoom" (Sea Of Stars) alongside five other famous singer and
they are: Carol Samaha, Wael Kfoury, Ahmad Al Sharif and Rowaida
Al Mahroki.
Wahbi will be starting in another movie "Lailat Al Baby Doll"
(Baby Doll Night). It is an Egyptian movie and script is written
by the late Abed El Hai Adeeb. The movie is a political comedy,
which talks about the Arab World after the events of September
11th.
