Hani Shaker and Latifa in a Duet                                             9 Sept 07

The Prince of Arabic Music Egyptian singer Hani Shaker and the famous Tunisian singer Latifa have agreed to work together on a new duet. Hani Shaker nominated poet Baha Al Deen Muhammad to write the lyrics for the song.

This comes after the same poet succeeded in previously writing a duet “Ana Qalbi Leek” (My Heart Belongs to You) for Shaker and Egyptian singer Shireen Abed El Wahab. Latifa welcomed the idea and stated that she is very happy to sing with a famous singer like Hani Shaker.

 According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, unlike their unsuccessful concerts at the Jerash Festival in Jordan, both singers are hoping such a duet will be great hit among their fans.
